The Texas Rangers have a comfortable four game lead over the Oakland Athletics in the AL West, but that lead could become concerning if outfielder Josh Hamilton can’t return soon.
The Rangers begin a critical four game series tonight with Oakland and as of now, the Rangers are unsure if Hamilton will be able go at all between now [Monday] and Thursday.
Hamilton is suffering from what is reported to be a sinus infection, an infection so bad it has affected Hamilton’s vision.
The Rangers’ slugger hasn’t played since his one at bat on September 18th against the Los Angeles Angels.
Hamilton is having another monster year for his fantasy owners batting, .287/.358/.588 with 42 home runs and 123 RBI.
