New York Met starting pitcher Johan Santana was placed on the 15 day disabled list on Saturday due to a sore ankle. According to a report on CBSsports.com, Santana’s ankle injury has led to fatigue that has resulted in his recent struggles since his no-hitting.
The 33 year old veteran pitcher is 6-7 on the season, with a 3.98 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 110.2 innings of work. Santana lasted just three innings on Friday night against the Dodgers, giving up six earned runs on seven hits.
